LOCAL ISSUES, Sind. Multan. Tapanasa, circa 650-700. Damma (Silver, 14 mm, 0.62 g), type A2, circa 675-700. Stylized head to right with SRI ('Lord' in Brahmi on the forehead) and pellets around. Rev. Stylized fire altar of three dots above a base; around SRI TAPANA[ASA] ('Lord of the Sun' in Brahmi). Fishman & Todd, p. 221 ff. Rare and nicely toned. Very fine.
